Brian Suda is an informatician currently residing in Reykjavík, Iceland. He has spent a good portion of each day connected to Internet after discovering it back in the mid '90s. Most recently, he has been working closely on the Microformats project writing code, gardening the wiki, and hammering out FAQs and specifications. His own little patch of Internet can be found at suda.co.uk where many of his past projects and crazy ideas can be found.

Transient Semantics and Microformats

from 11h30 to 12h15

Semantics add more value into our daily lives, but even short-lived small steps toward more meaning are helpful. Microformats enable us to give these small building blocks of semantics into our HTML to give more meaning to our mark-up. By looking at our surroundings we can learn more about transient semantics as the flashes, beeps and alerts bring meaning and attention into our life.
